Supporting strategic leadership to advance social impact across Europe.
The Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) is the only multilateral development bank with an exclusively social mandate. Working on behalf of its 43 member countries, we finance projects that improve lives through better education, healthcare, affordable housing and support for vulnerable communities, while addressing the social dimensions of climate change and the environment.
The Executive Office (EO) supports the Governor in his leadership role and identifies strategic and business transformation opportunities to improve how the CEB delivers on its mission. As Junior Advisor, you’ll assist the EO in key front-office activities and contribute to high-impact initiatives that shape the Bank’s direction and visibility.
In this dynamic role, you’ll help prepare the Governor’s interventions, drafting briefing notes, speeches and presentations on key economic, financial and social topics. You’ll support strategic initiatives and research trends relevant to the Bank’s mission, monitor peer development institutions, and collaborate with the various units to ensure consistent and impactful messaging.
To join, you’ll need
an advanced university degree in Economics or related field with a sound theoretical background in international macro-economics, policies and development;
2-3 years’ experience in a policy-oriented or international institution;
sound knowledge of international development and financial institutions;
strong analytical and research abilities;

Fluency in one of the two CEB official languages (English and French), and working knowledge of the other, with a commitment to develop it further.
