What you'll doo
Preferred starting date: Early to mid-October 2026. The exact starting date is flexible and can be agreed based on availability.
The Trainee will support ESN’s communication activities with a strong focus on visual content creation and multimedia production. The role centres on developing engaging visual materials that help communicate ESN’s activities and promote mobility opportunities across Europe.
You will contribute to the creation of visual and multimedia content used across ESN’s digital platforms and communication outputs. This includes supporting the visual identity of campaigns and producing creative materials that make ESN’s communication more engaging and accessible.
This position is particularly suited to candidates interested in graphic design, visual storytelling, and multimedia communication within an international youth organisation.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Creation of branding packages for projects;
Graphic design for digital and print promotion;
Management and content production of ESN’s social media pages (TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Bluesky);
Working on the design of our projects and ESN publications, such as the Annual Report;
Working with photography and video.
You must have an Erasmus+ traineeship grant. Please note that this is a mandatory requirement, as ESN does not have the means to cover any subsistence costs other than the ones mentioned in the bullet points below. Self-maintenance of the trainees is not an option, as ESN is a strong advocate for fair and paid traineeships

Creating sound, literacy, visual, decorative or other creative and instructive materials
Tools: ChatGPT | Canva | CapCut basics | TikTok | Instagram | LinkedIn | YouTube Shorts | Microsoft Excel | Google Sheets | Google Workspace
Visa & Work Authorization Support: EU/EEA Residents Only - We are currently only able to host candidates who do not require an additional work visa (e.g., EU citizens or those with existing residency).

Qualifications and requirements
Fluent in written and spoken English;
Background in communication, media, graphic design or similar;
Familiar with the concepts of Social Media and online marketing;
Good knowledge of Canva and Adobe software: Photoshop & InDesign are necessary, Illustrator is highly valued;
Highly proactive attitude - not afraid of proposing changes and taking ownership of delegated tasks;
Precise and organised way of working;
Proficient user of Google Workspace;
Capacity to work in a team as well as independently;
Comfortable working in a multicultural environment;
Knowledge of the Erasmus Student Network is a plus.

What you’ll get
Duration: 6 months
Schedule: Full time
Hours per week: 38 hours
Salary (/month): 750 EUR
Benefits: Corporate laptop
Accommodation allowance of 700 EUR per month is provided;
Travel allowance of 50 EUR per month is provided;
Reimbursement for flights to Belgium to start the traineeship and return to your home upon completion, which will be reimbursed according to ESN’s standard reimbursement procedures with a maximum of 275 EUR;
Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance are covered.
