Eligibility snapshot

Must have

  • Perform any other duties as required in line with the responsibility of the role.
  • Eligibility Criteria Thorough knowledge of one of the languages of the Union and a satisfactory knowledge of another language of the Union;
  • a level of education which corresponds to completed university studies, preferably in economics, law, social sciences, European studies, international relations, political sciences, or similar, attested by a diploma, when the normal period of university education is four years or more;
  • a level of education which corresponds to completed university studies, preferably in economics, law, social sciences, European studies, international relations, political sciences, or similar, attested by a diploma and appropriate professional experience of at least one year, when the normal period of university education is at least three years;
  • At least three years of proven full-time professional experience, acquired after the qualification required under a) or b) above, in at least one of the following areas:
  • government affairs, public affairs, or institutional relations involving engagement with European Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies and/or national public authorities – acquired in public or private sector;
  • stakeholder engagement, stakeholder management and relationship building;
  • EU policy development, coordination and implementation; d. monitoring, analysing and reporting on regulatory, legislative and/or public policy developments; e. drafting briefings, speeches, position papers or other strategic documents for senior management or decision makers.
