You will represent the interests of European manufacturers of electric drives and power electronics before EU institutions and stakeholders, while supporting ZVEI's international advocacy on industrial and economic policy. The strongest stated requirement is 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in a European or international institution, association, political organisation or (service) company.
The role matters because it actively shapes the political and regulatory framework for the electrical and digital industry in Europe and drives the digital and sustainable transformation.
What you would do
- Represent members' shared interests before political, societal and economic decision-makers at European level.
- Monitor, analyse and assess technological, political and regulatory developments relevant to the electrical and digital industry.
- Develop, coordinate and consolidate European policy positions with CEMEP on topics such as the EU Green Deal, ESPR, CRMA, IAA and other industrial policy initiatives.
- Actively expand and maintain the network with European institutions, political decision-makers, associations and other stakeholders.
- Strengthen the visibility and enforcement of members' positions with relevant European stakeholders.
- Independently manage committees, working groups and events, including substantive and organisational preparation, follow-up and accompaniment.
- Create target-group-appropriate communication content for social media and other communication formats.
Eligibility snapshot
Must have
- Successfully completed university degree, ideally with a focus on European law, international relations, economics, political or administrative sciences or a comparable field.
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in a European or international institution, association, political organisation or (service) company.
- Good knowledge of the current national and European regulatory framework.
- Strong interest in European industrial, economic and regulatory policy contexts and openness to technological questions and solutions.
- High level of personal responsibility, strategic thinking, willingness to shape outcomes and enjoyment of teamwork.
- Analytical and communication skills, team-oriented working style and ability to reduce complex matters to their core statements.
- Negotiation-level German and English skills in speech and writing (C1) and good knowledge of another European language.
- Willingness to travel regularly on business, in particular to attend committee, association and event appointments.
