Project Officer Ammunition is an opportunity at European Defence Agency · Seconded National Expert (SNE) · Brussels, Belgium.
This role supports EU Member States in improving military capabilities and collaborative procurement of ammunition, directly contributing to EDA's core tasks.
What you would do
- Contribute to capability development supporting EU Member States in improving military capabilities related to Ammunition and the Land domain.
- Support development activities implementing EDA Core Task 3 (harmonisation of military requirements) and Core Task 4 (aggregation of demand towards joint procurement).
- Contribute to collaborative acquisition/procurement of defence equipment, including managing the Cat. B project 'Collaborative Procurement of Ammunition (CPoA)'.
- Coordinate collaborative activities supporting the definition of technical requirements/specifications for defence equipment.
- Support EDA's role as Contracting Authority and/or Procurement Agent, including market consultation, procurement strategy, tendering, and contracting.
- Support the development of Business Cases with Member States for collaborative development/acquisition projects.
- Interact with external stakeholders such as EEAS, EUMS, EC, NATO, EDTIB, and other EU bodies.
- Contribute to the Agency's and Directorate's efforts to reinforce project management/procurement approaches in collaborative procurement of military equipment, especially ammunition.
