The role involves representing the interests of the electrical household appliance industry on substance regulation, ecodesign, and other environmental topics before German and EU authorities, including monitoring regulatory developments and coordinating industry positions. What you would do
- Represent the common interests of members of the electrical household appliance industry vis-à-vis authorities and environmental policy decision-makers in Germany and the EU.
- Monitor and analyze regulatory developments and stakeholders in the field of substance regulation, ecodesign, and other environmental topics for electrical household appliances.
- Develop and coordinate positions on regulatory and product-related requirements in close exchange with representatives of the electrical household appliance industry in Germany.
- Moderate expert committees on technical and regulatory issues and promote the exchange of opinions and experiences.
- Further develop existing topics and identify and evaluate new regulatory developments.
- Represent ZVEI in industry associations, particularly the European umbrella organization APPLiA, participate in relevant committees, and implement relevant European industry positions in Germany.
Eligibility snapshot
Must have
- Successfully completed university degree, preferably in engineering or natural sciences, ideally with a focus on chemistry; applicants from political, communication, or legal sciences are also welcome if they have appropriate technical affinity.
- Strong communication and analytical skills, combined with high organizational strength and team orientation.
- Strong interest in technical and regulatory contexts.
- Initiative, flexibility, and willingness to travel.
- Ability to structure complex issues and communicate them in a target-group-oriented manner and represent them confidently to third parties.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
